This garment that was selected for the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) Fashion Forward Honoree came from my senior thesis collection title "The Messenger."  This garment took inspiration from catholic vestments designing a beautiful airy cape coat with a long pleated train draping behind. To complement the cape coat, a sultry modest asymmetrical pleated fold dress is worn underneath.
